Come and join me at Penuel Lane Studios and craft two worry stones.
Worry stones are a massive trend right now on social media and this session gives the opportunity to make your own. They are used as a tactile, calming tool to relieve stress and anxiety by repeatedly rubbing the thumb in the indentation, or as a quiet fidget toy to aid concentration.
All materials are provided. The worry stones are made from polymer clay and part of the session will be while they are in the oven, so it will give us the opportunity to have a break with a drink and biscuits!
With a maximum of 8 people, the groups are small and in a creative space that is welcoming to all. It is open to all ages however there will be some work involving a cutting blade and pointed needle, please bear this in mind when considering the session.
The space is booked for 2 hours so there is more than enough time to make two worry stones including baking time. There is no pressure to hurry and finish a model as I work with you at your own pace. It is beginner friendly so if you've never worked with polymer clay before, or just want to try it out this is the perfect opportunity.
During the session we will be using a slightly softer clay which will be easy to work with and not too hard on the wrists when we have to mix it together.
The designs to choose from are bee, cat, dog, cake and stars. I'll be bringing lots of coloured clay to help personalise your models. They can also be made into keyrings or magnets if you want to.
